McGREGOR, Desley:
Passed away peacefully at Ashburton Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Aged 90 years. Honorary life member of the Gore Fire Brigade. Dearly loved husband and life partner of Betty. Much loved father and father-in-law of Kerry and John Rodgers, Angela and Stuart Lalor, Lynden and Fiona McGregor. Cherished Poppa of all of his 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A much loved brother, brother-in-law and uncle of all his nieces and nephews and a special friend to many. A true gentleman, 90 years well lived. We would like to give special thanks to Dr Penny Holdaway and all of the wonderful staff at Ashburton Hospital and St John Ambulance for their wonderful care. Peacefully at Peacehaven Retirement Village on Saturday, June 14 2025, aged 81 years. Shirley, Kim, Glenn, Alister, Desiree and their families extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone who supported us with your phone calls, visits, food, cards and flowers on the recent loss of Owen. We appreciate everyone who joined us to celebrate Owen's life, some having travelled long distances. Special thanks to Pastor Rachael Diprose for her thoughtful and comforting words at the service, and we appreciate the caring words of all the other speakers. Thanks also to our special bag-piper, Max Wells, who had played at our wedding 54 years ago in Winton.
