Peacefully, with family at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore on Wednesday August 30, 2023, aged 84 years. “I love the clean brown tussocks and the hills where the cool wind blows, and it is my wish I may still be there when they call the last wayleggo” Dearly loved wife and best friend of the late Gerald, cherished Mum of Michael, Guy and Annie, special sister and sister-in-law of *Shirley and *Ken MacKenzie, *Noel and *Wynette Bennett, Beverley MacLean, Ngaire and *Jeff Lamb, Fay and *Peter Davis, *Brian and *Joy, *Pat and *Ron Lawson, *Joan and *Allan Freeman, Francis and *John Tulloch. Her cheeky grin and sparkle in her eyes will be remembered by all her nieces, nephews and friends. Many thanks to the staff at Windsor Park Care Home, Debbie, and Sue. At Joan’s request, a private interment will be held after which family invite all family and friends to share in some good yarns and refreshments at the Gore RSA Clubrooms, 12 Bowler Avenue, Gore, on Monday, September 4, from 1.00pm onwards. Peacefully, at Resthaven Village, Gore, on Monday, August 28 2023, aged 86 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Taz (Allan), loved Mum and mother-in-law of Michael and Lynette (Edendale), Stephen and Katrina (Mataura), Les and Tina (Auckland), Philip and Kim (Christchurch), Billy and Petra (Kurow), Greg and Andrea (Gore), Robert and Donna (Gore), loved friend of Janine, Sharon, Mig and Natalie, and loved Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Vic, John, Jackie, Carolyn and families wish to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those that cared for Wilma over the last few years. To the carers from Healthcare NZ that came in and assisted Wilma while she was at home. To Diane, Debbie and staff staff at Bupa Longwood Riverton for their care and support of Wilma. To the St John Paramedics that attended Wilma at Longwood. Southland Hospital, to the Doctors, Nurses and staff in ED ,Surgical Ward and the Palliative Care team for your professional caring approach , the support and respect given to Wilma in her last few days was excellent. Also for the support given to our family through this time was much appreciated. To the many people that sent cards, flowers, texts , made phone calls, dropped off food and visited us in the days and weeks since Wilma’s passing, your support and love has been wonderful and much appreciated. To Distinct Funerals, Kellie, Mandy ,Devon and Dalton for supporting our family through the process of planning Wilmas funeral, for the respect and dignity given to Wilma during that time and for giving Wilma the most heartfelt, sincere, memorable and respectful funeral service.
