Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Edith for 59 years, much loved father and father-in-law of Richard and Karlene (Lowburn), Janice and Chris Birch (Hawea), loved and treasured Buck of Emma; Ryan, and Craig, loved family member of the Gardner and McLauchlan families and friend to many.

Loved wife of the late Des, loved Mum and mother-in-law of Pat (Gore), Desma and Doug Barrie (Cambridge), loved Nana of Andrenna and David Holmes (Brisbane), Maria Barrie and Jason Hanham (Cambridge), and great-Grandma of Ayla and William Holmes; and Emma Hanham. A service to celebrate Melba’s life will be held at Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore, on Saturday, May 13, at 1.30pm, followed by interment at Charlton Park Cemetery.
