Tickets to this year’s ILT Kidzone Festival are on sale now.

The festival, being held from Wednesday, July 12 to Monday, July 17, at James Hargest College, Senior Campus, is one of Southland’s most popular family events, and is jam-packed with hundreds of hands-on activities for kids.

This six day festival caters for children of all ages and includes physical activities, craft, song, dance, music, entertainment, food and drink options, make up, face painting, hair-do stations, spooky make-up, squash, golf, bikes, sewing, and other educational sites and activities, including wood craft, mini jeeps, painting, lego-land, clay play and chalk art.

The festival began in 2005 as a four day festival and has grown to a six day event with more than 170 activities for families to experience.

Every year 11,000 people get the opportunity to walk through the doors of the ILT Kidzone Festival. Tickets cost $15 per person which covers the costs for all activities, materials and entertainment, excluding food purchases.

There is only one entrance to ILT Kidzone and it is on Layard Street. The festival begins at 10.30am each day.

Invercargill Licensing Trust Foundation, chairman Alan Dennis said the ILT are again delighted to be main funders of the iconic ILT Kidzone Festival.

“This family orientated event is certainly the type of activity that we love to assist. We congratulate the organisers on their excellent efforts, and in particular, we thank the many volunteers who continue to make this event one of the best. We wish everyone a happy and fun time.”
