Strong Sales From Home Show

It was two days of great sales for exhibitors of the Southland Home Show last weekend at ILT Stadium Southland.
Organiser George Owen said the exhibitors did really well compared to last year, with a “quality” crowd that was slightly quieter than 2023.
Home shows attract a niche market of people who are actively looking to improve their quality of life, using the latest industry ideas on how to make their homes better.
And with Invercargill and Southland being the top performer economically in the country at the moment, people had money to spend.
Statistics show 96% of people who come to the Home Show own their own home, as the premier event for those looking at building or renovating.
George was the only Home Show in the country that has been continuously going strong for 28 years.
First time exhibitor Mandy Jordan from Mortgage Supply & Co said it was awesome seeing local businesses in one place, “meeting other self employed locals was awesome for me, over 100 new people to add to our database, great communication from the organisers, bringing me coffees helped…”
Sumaria Beaton from Awarua Synergy said interactions with customers who raved about their insulation’s impact was a highlight for the team.
“We were then able to seamlessly introduce them to our heat pump, wood burner, pellet fire, and ventilation systems, furthering their home’s efficiency journey,” she said.
Winners of a $500 grocery gift card were Daniel Marshall and Paige McGrath.
