A new hydroslide featuring three slides proposed for Invercargill’s Splash Palace is a step closer after receiving support from Invercargill city councillors at a Community Services Committee meeting on Monday.

A report was presented to the committee by Council aquatic services manager Peter Thompson proposing a $2.89million stand-alone structure for the facility, featuring new three slides.

The report will be put before the next full council meeting.
