Peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, aged 76. Loved partner of Shona and loved husband of the late Isabel. Loved father and father-in-law of Tony and Suzie, Neville and Tiffany, Julie and Campbell, Michael and Sarah. Loved Grandad of Tyrone and Roman; Hermione, Persephone and Aleasha; Deana and Mitchell; Joshua and Sophie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Clara and Ian* and Shirley and Donald*. A service to celebrate Alan’s life will be held in J Fraser & Sons Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 1.30pm, on Monday, March 18, followed by private interment.

FAHEY, Brenda Mary (nee Greenall). Suddenly, at Dunedin Hospital on March 13, 2019; aged 92 years. Loved wife of the late Tom, a loved mother and mother-in-law of the late Michael, Juliann, Christine and Steve Blanchard, Sean and Dorothy, a cherished Nana of Gavin; Phillip, Anita, and Natalie; Grant, and Caitlin. A farewell Mass and service for Brenda will be held on Monday, March 18 at 11.00am in St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Colonsay Street, Lawrence, then leaving for the Lawrence Cemetery. FOX, Mavis Rosaline (Hardie). In memory of Mavis Rosaline (Hardie) Fox, born May 13, 1945, taken from us March 15, 2017. 2 years has passed now mum and I still miss you and think of you every day. There is something about losing someone that is permanent and unexplainable, a kind of wound that never quite heals. The scars you left are in my heart and soul, but my memories and love for you will never fade. You will always be in our hearts. Love you always – Terry, Jo, Jayden and Ben.
IRWIN, Arthur Stannard. Suddenly at home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019; in his 98th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Jean. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of David and Jenene; Russell and Noeline; Allison and Bill Heard; dearly loved Pop of Dale, Blair, and Suzanne; Rebecca, Simon, and Geoff; Mike, and Stephen. Dearly loved husband of the late Thistle, loved father and father-in-law of Fiona and John Engel (Winton), Anita and Lloyd Thayer (Wanaka), Trudy and Chris Hamilton (Christchurch), much loved Pop of Matthew and Lorissa, Rachel and John, Katherine and Matt, Louise and Steven, Michelle and Dave, Bridget, Caitlin, and Laura, great-Grandad of Isaac, and loved brother of Shona Toomer, and the late Margaret. A service for Hec will be held in Southern Funeral Home Chapel, 106 Hokonui Drive, Gore, on Saturday, March 16, at 2.00pm, private cremation to follow. SAUNDERS, Kaye Lynette. Kaye passed away at her beloved home in Riverton this past weekend, in her 65th year. She was the dearly loved and only surviving child of the late Enid & Bill, a loyal, amazing and much loved friend to many, and treasured family member to her extended family. A memorial service to celebrate Kaye’s life will be held at the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Saturday 16th March at 11am.
