Hi there team. Sad news this week from the world of American music. One of the greats has passed away. The term “great” in this case is not understated.

Hal Blaine passed away recently at the age of 90. Who is Hal Blaine you ask?

Hal is one of the most recorded drummers of modern times.

He has kept and driven the beat on thousands of sessions and been on the drums for 40 hits that went to number 1.

Hal and his colleagues in the session group known as The Wrecking Crew backed all comers from the Phil Spector Wall Of Sound acts to The Beach Boys and Frank Sinatra and pretty much everyone in between.
