Young Reflections, an educational toy store on Tay St, Invercargill, is opening a store in Dunedin – with the grand opening taking place on Saturday.

After 26 years in business, owner Joy Brown said after five years of “toying” with the idea of opening a second store – she and family decided to take the plunge and do it.

The Dunedin-based Young Reflections will open in the Roslyn shopping area this Saturday (September 30) from 10am to 3pm.

Joy said the Roslyn precinct included a pharmacy, a mix of cafes and a gift shop, and was a popular location with locals.

The Dunedin store would be run by two early childhood teachers who have “good knowledge of our products”, Joy said.

“The Dunedin staff are really excited about the store and can’t wait to open,” she said.

While the store will offer the same quality products customers have come to expect from Young Reflections, as well as free gift-wrapping and lay-by services – there would be opening day specials only available at the Dunedin store, while stocks last.

Joy along with her daughter Sarah would oversee the running of both the Invercargill and Dunedin stores.
