A new hydroslide featuring three slides proposed for Invercargill’s Splash Palace is a step closer as final preparations are made for work to start on the $2.89 million project.

Council aquatic services manager Peter Thompson said “We’re really excited to now be able to show the hydroslides off to everyone. They’re generating a huge amount of attention and anticipation and its really great to be able to really show the size and dimension of the slides relative to everything else”.

“It’s pretty awesome as it’s not often you get to be involved in a project that is essentially all about fun”
