A weekend of friendship, fun, memories and long lost friends — all those with ties to Woodlands School are invited to come along and celebrate a community milestone at the Woodlands School 150th Jubilee.
From past and present — pupils, teachers, well-wishers, board and committee members alike will get together from February 5-7, 2021 to commemorate the school’s sesquicentennial over food, drink and plenty of chatting.
We are also inviting schools which amalgamated or that have closed including Mabel Bush, Morton Mains, Longbush and Dacre.’
The three-day event will take place as follows:
The oldest person and the youngest person will be asked to cut the cake to mark the 150 years.
Items pulled from the rafters of the school would be on display — a showcase of its history, from old photos to a picket from the old school fence and even a chalkboard among the collection of materials set to be on-show.
The Woodlands Car Club would also be bringing along a collection of vehicles from different decades for attendees to enjoy.
Those interested in attending will need to register before 5th November 2020, through the Woodlands School 150th Jubilee website.
