Dearly cherished Taua of Kelly and Chris, Carl and Maria, Kiri and Cesare, and Nikki and Ronnie. Dearly loved Taua Tui to all her mokopuna. “Haere ra Mum, arohanui until we meet again”. Peacefully on Friday 4 August 2023, aged 91years. Mother of Trish Clearwater (Blenheim), Tom Bulman (Te Anau), John and Liz Bulman (Sydney), and Shyama (Susan) and Peter Hamilton (Christchurch). Granny to Daniel Clearwater and Cabie and son Thomas. Great Granny to Freya. Daughter of *Thomas and *Catherine McEwen. Sister of *Isabel,*Ian, Peggy,*Nancy,*Peter, David and Catherine. Fondly remembered Aunt to her nieces and nephews and their families. Thanks for all the help given by her neighbours, St Johns, medical staff and carers who provided admirable support. NEWMAN, Clive:
Passed away peacefully, after a very short illness, in Dunedin Hospital, on Friday, August 4, 2023, aged 66 years old. Dearly loved husband and absolute best friend of Vicky, loved father of William, and John, and step-father of Brendan, and Jeremy. Loved son of the late William and Alice (Bath, England), brother of his siblings in England, and Ken* and Anne (Cromwell). Loved son-in-law of Bruce and Marie Broad (Tapanui), brother-in-law of Kevin, Warren and Rachel, Trin and Vaea, Blair, Jason, Rochelle, and their families. Loved Clive of Lucy, Sophie and Mackenzie. Clive was very much loved by everyone who knew him. We will all miss him dearly. A service to celebrate Clive’s life will be held at the West Otago Community Centre, Suffolk Street, Tapanui on Thursday, August 10, at 2.00pm, followed by interment at Tapanui Cemetery. Vicky and Clive’s family would like to say an enormous thanks to all the amazing staff at both Southland and Dunedin Hospitals during Clive’s illness. PIPER, Olive Anne (nee Brennan):
On Sunday 06th August aged 74 years old
“The Angels have lifted her to heaven to meet the Father”.
Fiercely loyal and loving wife of Richard, proud mother and mother-in-law of Antoinette & Vijai, Nick and Lisa (Sweden). Adored Narni of Dominic, Gabriel, Nicholas, Stella-Maria (Invercargill), and Jack and Sam (Sweden). Heartfelt thanks to Dr Finlayson, Margaret and the marvellous team at Calvary Hospital, and to Hospice Southland who assisted Oliveanne in her last few weeks. Thank you to all our dear friends and whānau who have supported Mum and us over the last few years. As per Ollie’s wishes, her body has been bequeathed to the Otago University Anatomy Department. A memorial mass is being held on Saturday 12th August at 1:30pm at St Theresa of Lisieux, Invercargill.
