CHURCHILL, John Alfred (Jack):
Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital on Friday 16 February 2024, aged 90. Milkman, Blue Star Taxi man, driver. He loved his country music, gardening, chasing the whitebait, and a wee rum. Beloved wife of the late Caryl (nee Howley). Loved Dad and Pop of Mark and Andrea, Jena, Matt, and Mia Brierley, and the late Melanie; Kim, Bill and Jaimee Anderson; Debra and Dave Waddling; Peter, Jacinda, and kids Bree, Ally, and Lane. Special brother-in-law, and Uncle Jack to his nieces and nephews. Jack’s funeral is to be held on Friday 23rd February 2024, 2.30pm in J Fraser & Sons’ Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets Invercargill. Private interment will follow. LOGAN, John James (Jim):
Passed away on Friday, 16 February 2024, at Hospice Southland, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Yvonne. Much loved Dad to Ronnie and David, father-in-law of Angie and Teresa. Love and cherished Granddad of Nicky, Hannah; Chantelle and Kayla, and Great-Grandfather of Ryan and Liam. Love son of Jack and Enid* Logan. Loved brother and brother- in-law of Linda McMillan, Bill* and Betty Logan, Jocelyn and Geoff Davidson, Lorna* and John Dennis, Patti* and Ben* Apeldoorn and Bruce* Richards, and all their families. A service will be held in the Gore Town and Country Club Stadium, Bury Street, on Wednesday, 21 February at 1:30pm, leaving there after for the Balfour Cemetery. MASON, Hazel:
Peacefully on February 19, 2024, at Clutha Views Lifecare; aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Ernie, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Cliff and Lesley, Jackie and Mike Coll, Denise and David Anderson, and Stephen, cherished Nana of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Fond Memories
A service to celebrate Hazel’s life will be held on Saturday, February 24, at 11am in our Chapel, 12 James Street, Balclutha, then leaving for the Balclutha Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Balclutha St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at her service. McKenzie, Morell:
Peacefully, surrounded by his family in the loving care of Calvary on Monday, February 19, 2024. Aged 95 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Eileen. Loved father and father-in-law of Bede and Paula, Paul and Joyce, John and Liz, Mark and Julie, Jane and Heather, James and Jacqui, Donna and Paul McRae. A loved and respected Pop and Old Pop. Is fondly remembered by the Grace, Hutton, Forde, Lavelle, Stone, and Gullick families and a special Dad of Kathy Rath (South Africa). Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, North Road, Invercargill on Friday, February 23 at 11.00am. Interment at the Eastern Cemetery to follow. Rosary will be held at Calvary on Thursday, February 22 at 6.30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southland Charity Hospital would be appreciated.
