Peacefully at Southland Hospital on Saturday 7 October 2023, surrounded with family. Aged 85 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Graham Bell. Much loved Mum of Pauline and Jack Fisher, Tony and Donna Murchison, Robin Thomsen and Ian Paulin, John, Brian, and the late Jimmy. Much loved Nana and Great Nana of all her grandchildren and Great grandchildren. Trish passed away peacefully in the care of Perriam Wing, Clare House, Invercargill, on Sunday 8 October 2023. In her 70th year. Loved wife of Ken for 50 years. Much loved Mum of Brendon and Carolyn (Blenheim) and Paula and Craig Anderson (Orawia) and the late Jason. Devoted Nan of Ben and Hayden; Jake and Libby. Much loved daughter of Allan* and Marley Spence. Sister and sister-in-law of Keith and Dianne Spence, Irene and Trevor Hansen, Bruce Spence and Paula. Much loved daughter-in-law of William* and Catherine* McWilliam. Sister-in-law of Sylvia and Jim* McKee, Stanley* and Faye McWilliam, Iris and Colin* Marshall, John* and Jean* McWilliam, David and Kristine McWilliam. Much treasured friend of Erin. MORTIMER, James Ernest (Jim):
1953 – 2023. Sadly, Jim passed away on Friday 6th October surrounded by family at Bupa Ascot Care Home. Loving husband of the late Jan Mortimer, much loved father and father-in-law of Lisa, Rachael, Kim, David and Jess. Devoted Grandad and Da to Sofia and Josiah, Maddy, Noah and Gabe, Ella, Jacob and Mikayla. Loved and respected brother of Kevin, Margaret and Kayleen as well as many nieces and nephews, and precious son of Jim and Kath. Treasured friend of Alex. Jim will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. A service to celebrate Jim’s rich life will be held in the Avenal Park Funeral Home, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Wednesday, 11th October at 1:00pm followed by a wake at The Ave Sports Bar, Avenal Street after a private cremation. Peacefully in the care of Clare House on Monday, 9th October 2023, in his 83rd year. Beloved Son of the late George and Georgina Stark. Much loved husband to Yvonne. Peacefully with her loving family by her side, on Monday 2 October 2023, in the care of Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, aged 89 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Yorath. Beloved mum and mother-in-law of Christine (Mosgiel) and Barry, Ken and Margaret (Christchurch), Shirley and Thomas Allison (Christchurch), Linda* and Alwyn Walter (Gore), Doug and Bev (Winton). Adored Nana and Gran of all her many grand and great grandchildren. Loved sister, sister-in-law, aunty, and friend of her extended family. At Audrey’s request, a private cremation has been held and a memorial service will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Saturday 14 October at 1.30pm.
