Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospice on the 24th July 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Loved and adored mother and mother-in-law of Murray and Donna Marshall, Russell and Ellen Marshall and Kathy and Callum Crockett. Adored Gran of Jessica Reynolds, Daniel Reynolds, and Kate Marshall. Loved daughter of Clyde* and Thora* Smith. Loved twin sister of Judith* and Keith Howes and loved sister of David* Smith. Loved Aunty of Steven, Paul, and Michael, and their partners. A special thanks to the amazing care given by the team at Southland Hospice and the Invercargill District Nurses, we can’t thank you all enough. As per our Mum’s wishes a private cremation has been held. A Memorial Service to celebrate Mum’s life will be held in J Fraser & Sons Chapel. Cnr Esk and Doon Street’s on Friday the 2nd of August at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be left for St John Ambulance Invercargill. Much beloved Wife of Michael, and much loved mother & mother in law of Kane & Tania, Amber & Tony, Yvette & Lyndon and Sasha & Shaun. Cherished Taua of all her mokopuna. Treasured sister of Paka, Marty, Eddie, Ora, Marcia, Karen, Tania, and Kerry, a much loved aunty of her many nieces and nephews. Winsome will lay in rest at Te Rau Aroha Marae, Bluff from today at 11.00am. A service to celebrate Winsome’s life will be held on the marae, Thursday 1 August at 11.00am. You are welcome to journey with whānau to Winsome’s final resting place, Te Hau Mutunga Urupā, Mason Road, Invercargill. Following the burial, the hākari will be held at Te Rau Aroha Marae.
