Damian, Stefan and Sarah sadly announce the unexpected passing of Pip on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Pip was a much loved wife of Damian Keenan, and loving mum to Stefan and his fiancée Sarah. Pip was a beloved daughter of Shirley and Alan Ayto. Pip was also a much loved and fun sister to her sisters, Jillian, Joanne, Toni, Louise and Allison, and her brothers Michael, Simon and Adrian. She also was a wonderful Aunty to her many nieces and nephews. A big part of Pip’s life was her work in Aged Care at Southland Hospital and she has many friends from her 20+ years working there. A service to celebrate Pip’s life will be held at the Lindisfarne Church, Invercargill, on Thursday, January 26 at 1.00pm. BRUCE, Lynette Ann (Lyn):
Peacefully at Hospice Southland on Friday January 20, 2023. Aged 73 years. In loving memory of a wonderful lady. Adoring wify of Grumpy (Bill). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Geordie and Kelly, Aaron and Kristy, Jared*, and Jolene and Derek Ballantine. Cherished Nan of Brinn, Ailie, Lochlan, Jayden, Isobel, and Emily. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Ron* and Betty Clark, Bob and Gail* Clark, Brian and Judy* Clark. Loved sister-in-law of Elsie and Fred Shepard (UK). Loved aunt of her nieces and nephews. Special thanks to District Nurses and Hospice Southland for their care of Lyn. PALMER, Ruth Isabella:
Aged 82 beloved wife of Sonny, much loved mother of Caroline, Hugh and Michelle Dawson, loved grandmother. Eldest sister of Joan Thomas (Dec) and Ann Whippy-Thomas much loved sister-in-law of Pat and Colin McCallum, much loved friend of Denise Stacey. Passed away peacefully at Southland hospital on the 3rd of January 2023 after a very short illness. As per Ruth’s wishes a family gathering has taken place. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Fraser’s and sons especially Darrin and Paulo. And a huge thank you to Nicki for her amazing work and support. SCOTT, Cara Elizabeth:
After a courageous battle, Cara passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, at Southland Hospital on Monday 23 January 2023. Dearly loved and cherished wife of Owen for 40 years. Treasured and adored mother and mother in law of Michelle and Troy Crosbie, the late Michael, Jessica and Corey Jackson (Canada), and Ray. Very loved Grandma of Zara. Cara was a loved sister, sister in law, Aunty and daughter in law.
