BERG, Elsie ‘ May’ (nee Henderson):

Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital on Saturday 16th November 2024. Dearly loved wife of the late Ian. May is a much-loved mother and mother-in-law of Bruce, Gil and Jenny; treasured Nana and Great Nana of: Ryan, Laura, Georgia, and Harriet; Crispen, Jess, Elise and Alexander; Isaac, Alex, Hugo and Oscar; Timothy, Lex, Jensen and Collins; and Jake, Merran and Lila. May was a loved daughter, sister, and sister-in-law; and a loved and respected Aunt. A good friend and companion to the late Gordon. Funeral details to follow.

HUMPHRIES, Tracy Maree (nee Tyler):
After a courage battle, Tracy passed away at Hospice Southland surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday 17th November 2024, aged 56 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Kenneth. Precious mum and mother in law of Larissa and Cameron Walker, and Deanne and Aaron Lay. Loving and caring daughter and daughter in law of Warren and the late Pam, Clarice and the late Ian Humphries. Loved sister and sister in law of Jason and Jayne, Martin and Jac, Janice and Tony, Linda and Brent, Annette, Rex and Kaye, and Paula. Loved Aunty of her nieces and nephews. Donations to Hospice Southland would be greatly appreciated and can be left at her service. In Memory of Tracy, her service will be held on Thursday 21st November, 2024 at 1.30pm, J Fraser and Sons Chapel, corner Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill. Private Cremation will follow. METZGER, Dorreen Emily (nee Clode):
Peacefully in the loving care at Rowena Jackson on Saturday 16th November, 2024, with her family by her side, aged 93 years. Dearly loved wife of Martin* (Tim). Much loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Michele and Robin Laing, Louise and Russell Barry (Hunterville). Much loved Nana of Emmy-May Barry (Wellington). Loved sister and sister-in-law of William* Alex* and Lucy*, Marjorie*, George* and Avis*, Douglas, and Mollie* Metzger. Loved Aunty of all her nieces and nephews. Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to management and staff of Rowena Jackson for their wonderful loving care given to Dorreen over the years. Special thank you to Dr de Kock and staff at Southland Hospital, Dr’s David and Hill at Invercargill Medical Centre for their care given to Dorreen. A service to celebrate Dorreen’s life will be held in All Saints Anglican Church, Holywood Terrace, Invercargill on Friday 22 November at 11am followed by interment at Eastern Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. OSBORNE, Thomas:
Passed away peacefully at Resthaven Care Home, on Sunday, November 17, 2024, aged 85 years. Beloved husband of Margaret for 62 years. Loved father and father-in-law of Deborah and Lindsay Alderton (Kelso), John and Donella (Hawea), Angus and Angela (Gore), Tomlyn and Scott Morrissey (Arthurton), special Grandad to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother and brother-in-law to Bernie and Linda Osborne (Ashburton). SKINNER, Karen Anne:
It is with great sadness on Saturday 16th November 2024 Karen passed away unexpectedly in Dunedin Hospital; aged 63 years. A much loved partner and best friend of Graham Jones, and loved mum to Lottie (loved dog). Loved sister to Shane, loved family member of Paul, Brendon and Rachel, Carrie and Deon, Lachie*, Brayden, Callan, Kaleb, Breyah, and Danye. A service to celebrate Karen’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Thursday 21 November at 10.00am, private cremation to follow.
