Passed peacefully at Southland Hospice on Tuesday, 14th January 2025 after a courageous battle against cancer. Beloved Wife of Brian Heaven (deceased). Mother and Mother-in-law of Veronica and Lewis Cox, Carl and Nick Trainor, cherished Grandmother of Gemma, Luke, Claudia, and Courtney. At Heather’s request, a private service has been held at the Southland Crematorium, Thursday, 16th January 2025.
JONES, Majorie:
Marjorie sadly passed away at St. John's Hill Lifecare, Wanganui, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, aged 96 years. Much loved wife of the late Ernest (Ernie) Jones, and treasured mother of the late Robert (Dudley) (Palmerston North), Barbara and David Anderson (Winton), and Pamela Barnes (Wanganui). She was the loved sister of Beryl Freeman (U.K.). Marjorie was a very special Grandmother to Reese Jones, Dylan Jones (both Palmerston North), Carla and Vinny Lawrence (Invercargill), Rachel Anderson (Winton), Matthew and Kylie Anderson (Auckland), James and Cushla Barnes (Wanganui), Sarah Barnes (Upper Hutt), and her eight great-grandchildren. The family sincerely thank St. John's Hill Lifecare for their loving care of our Mum during her short stay. It was Marjorie's wish for a Private Family Farewell, which has been held.
