Passed away peacefully after a short illness on Friday 16the June 2023, aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of Agnes*. Loving father and father in law of Judith and Grant Butler, Graeme and Cindy Burnett, Sharon and Jonathan Peterson. Very special Grandad of Rachel and Sam, Michael, and Robin Butler; Maria and Elliot, William and Maggie, and Isabella Burnett; Imogen and Mae Peterson. AFS Dad of Sandra Krick and family (USA), and Theresa Casale and family (USA).

02.02.1938 ~ 15.06.2023. Dearly loved husband of Joyce, father of David, and Leane and husband Alex. Cherished Grandad of Dylan, Kelly, Aimee and Juliette; Great-Grandad of Rowan and Arthur. Brother and brother-in-law of Doug and Liz, Ian and Joan, Carol and Bill, Ken and Kay; also Eileen and Alex, Anne and Bob, Joan and Alex. Cherished and respected by all of his extended family, special friends and former work colleagues. A service to celebrate his life will be held in J Fraser and Sons’ Chapel, cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Tuesday 20 June at 1pm, followed by a final farewell at Edendale Cemetery arriving approximately 3:30pm. Special thanks to all who have showed dedicated support and care to Brian over the past 11 years, including District Nursing team, care-giving teams, St John Ambulance service, all followed by the genuine loving kindness of staff at Rowena Jackson, Salisbury Wing.
