SH1 Awarua is now OPEN with a 30km/h temporary speed limit in place. The truck has been moved off the road, and contractors will come back with a crane tomorrow for vehicle recovery. Please SLOW DOWN and take extra care when passing the site.

SH1 AWARUA, SOUTHLAND – CRASH – 12:10PM
The road is now CLOSED between Blyth St to Motu Rimu Rd, due to a truck roll.

A detour is in place via Motu Rimu Rd and Blyth St for northbound traffic and reverse for southbound. Please allow extra time for your journey.
