Golfer Sir Bob Charles Returning To Invers To Play a Round.

Golfers and fans of the great game are in for a treat this weekend.

Arguably one of the finest golfers New Zealand has produced, Sir Bob Charles will be playing a round at the Invercargill Golf Club this Sunday afternoon.

Sir Bob is playing in a 4 ball better ball tournament.

It’s 60 years since the prolific left hander played in his first NZ Open tournament ironically at the picturesque Otatara links course.

The left hander has won a slew of tournaments around the world in his illustrious career and up until 2003 he was the only player with a left handed swing to win a major.

At 84 Sir Bob has to be another example of not letting age get the way of living life to the fullest.

The book Sir Bob Charles – The Biography has also just been released.
