The Armed Offenders Squad Called To Gore Address – Man Found Dead

Update: Police confirm a man has been found dead at the Gore address where the Armed Offenders Squad had been called too.

Armed police have cordoned off a street in Gore where a man is believed to be armed with a gun.

A southern police spokesman said police were called to the residential property in Gore around 8.15pm but had not been able to reach the occupant.

It was not clear whether there were other people in the house. The Armed Offenders Squad was in attendance, the spokesman said.

A police spokesperson said the incident was “contained” in a property in Robertson Street, cordons are in place as a precaution.
