State Highway 6 Is Closed At The Gap Road Intersection

Due to a crash near Winton, State Highway 6 is closed at the intersection with Gap Road East. Please follow the directions of emergency services on-site and expect delays. Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Gap Road East and SH6, Winton.

Northbound detour: Northbound Traffic, turn right onto Thomson Crossing Road east, then turn left onto Norman Road, then turn left onto SH96.
Southbound detour: Southbound raffic turn right onto Eglinton Street, continue onto Price Road, then turn left onto Winton Substation Road, then turn left onto Lochiel Bridge Road, then onto SH6.

These detours are likely to remain in place until mid-tomorrow morning.
Please expect significant delays in this area.

Police were called about 1.25pm.
Initial reports suggest there have been injuries.

The road will be closed, with diversions in place.
