Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash that has blocked State Highway 6 between Lumsden and Dipton.
The crash was reported to Police about 1.10pm.
One person is reported to have serious injuries.
The road will remain closed while the Serious Crash Unit carries out a scene examination.
Diversions are in place and motorists should allow extra travel time.
Person Dies In Crash Between Lumsden And Dipton
One person has died following a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 6 between Lumsden and Dipton this afternoon.

NZTA says the road is closed at Josephville, between the Josephville-St Patricks Road and Caroline Valley Road intersections. To avoid the closure, northbound traffic can turn left onto Dipton-Castlerock Road, then right onto State Highway 94 (Mossburn-Lumsden Highway), before turning left to rejoin SH6. The reverse applies for southbound traffic.
