This is when the Southland Stags take on Canterbury in the mitre10 Cup Rugby competition.

The game has extra significance as the game is also a Ranfurly Shield Challenge and Southland has beaten the mighty Red and Blacks twice to win the log ‘o wood in recent years.

Yes, the game is at an odd time, 5:45PM this evening but wouldn’t be a great start to the weekend if we could welcome back The Stags with the Shield at Invers airport tomorrow morning.
