SH1 Tay Street Closures
Closures for SH1 Tay Street will begin on Friday, 17th January, from 6 pm to 6 am, in the westbound lanes between Conon Street and the Troopers roundabout.
Starting Sunday evening, 19th January, crews will work on SH1 Tay Street between the Troopers roundabout and Deveron Street in both directions. This work will take place Sunday to Thursday, from 6 pm to 6 am.
If you park in the Invercargill Central car park, please ensure your vehicle is moved before 6 pm
Detours
During closures, heavy vehicles are advised to use Rockdale Road or Inglewood Road/Tweed St to connect to the heavy vehicle bypass, while light vehicles should follow posted detour signs. Roads will remain open during the day, but some sections may have milled surfaces. Drivers should take extra caution when travelling through these areas.
All work is weather-dependent, and updates will be provided if schedules change.
