There will be traffic management on North Road between Bay Road and Renfrew St from Tuesday 15th – Sunday 20th November, nightworks from 6pm-6am. Traffic heading north will be diverted into the inner southbound lane and there will be no access from Wallace, Price, Elgin, Charles, Galway, Bullar and Willis streets onto SH6/North Road during this time. Your cooperation and patience will help us get the job done as quickly as possible.
North Road works:
- Resurfacing the asphalt pavement between Price and Willis streets
- Lane closure of northbound lanes
- Northbound traffic shifts into inner southbound, traffic still flows in both directions
- No access from the west to the state highway from Buller, Willis, Galway, Charles, Price, Elgin and Wallace streets
- Residents and businesses have been spoken with and the team continue to stay in touch with them
- Work will continue through until early next week
Lorne-Dacre Road:
- Renewal of section of road between Lorneville roundabout and Mill road North
- Closed to traffic travelling from Lorneville roundabout to Mill Road North (No access to Lorne Dacre Road from Lorneville roundabout other than site vehicles)
- Detour via Flora Road East, Mill Road North or Bainfield Road, Mill Road
- Traffic travelling from Mill Road to Lorneville roundabout is unaffected
- In place until late December
Stead Street:
Contractors started pre-sealing the road on Stead St yesterday, and this work will continue until Thursday this week.
- This pre-seal work is to repair soft spots and slumps in the road to prepare for the full re-seal of the road.
- The full re-seal is set to take place in January and we’ll update you when we know more.
Also no access towards airport in left lane.
