The preliminary result for the election of four members of the Southern District Health Board – Otago Constituency held on Saturday 12th October is as follows.

Former Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull has moved to his new public trough getting voted on to the Southern DHB board and Invercargill ICC councilor and now double-dipper Lesley Soper scored one of three board seats available. Terry King and Kay Crowthers won the other two seats.

The final absolute majority of votes (final quota) as determined at the last iteration was 10,421.37. There were 1,199 informal votes and 8,093 blank votes.
