Police are urging members of the public to secure their properties after a number of burglaries in the Invercargill area.
It appears thieves are targeting residential addresses and gaining entry into houses or garages.
It appears most of the burglaries from garages have occurred overnight where the building or shed has been insecure and items of value stolen.
Members of the public can check out some prevention and safety advice on the Police website, but it is key to remember to lock all doors and windows when you are no longer using your garage or shed to make sure it is as secure as possible.
Police have included a list of stolen property below, however it is apparent that many items would have needed to be wheeled away, so someone may have seen someone moving these items.
If you know where any of this property is, or if you are offered cheap gear, please let us know as soon as possible by contacting Constable Jordan Edwards at Invercargill Police Station (03) 211 0400.
Alternatively, information can also be provided anonymously via the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Police are also asking members of the public to report suspicious behaviour by people or vehicles parked in their area straight away by calling 111.
