Police want to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle deliberately driven at pedestrians in Balclutha last month.
A person was struck and moderately injured when a car with four occupants was driven intentionally towards groups of people on Clyde Street, near Lanark Street, around 2am on Sunday May 17.
Police responded to reports of a large group fighting and vehicles doing burnouts outside a community centre. The vehicle narrowly missed several people before ultimately hitting someone on Lanark Street.
Officers have executed search warrants in the Balclutha area and seized the vehicle involved. The victim required medical treatment.
Cluttha Area Response Manager Senior Sergeant Robin Hutton said police continue to follow positive lines of enquiry to identify the driver and occupants.
Police want to speak with anyone in the Clyde Street and Lanark Street areas between 1.40am and 2am that morning who witnessed the incident. They are also seeking dashcam footage from drivers who were in the area.
