Police are continuing to investigate the death of Karen White, a 60-year-old Invercargill woman, who was killed at her Lake Hāwea home on 8 March 2024.
Authorities have confirmed that Mrs White died from injuries sustained in a significant assault. Officers are currently interviewing multiple individuals to better understand the events leading to her tragic death.
Yesterday, police and ESR scientists returned to the homicide scene in Lake Hāwea to conduct additional examinations of specific areas of interest. While no further details about these findings have been released, police emphasise that the work is ongoing.
