Oscar The Doggedly Determined Dog Roll Dog Has Passed Away

Remember Oscar the three legged Alray Dairy dog roll “borrower”? Just doesn’t seem right calling him a thief.

We have sad news, life caught up with Oscar recently and he’s now gone to find the best dog roll in the biggest chiller in the best dairy on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

-To recap, a couple of years ago Oscar was spotted more than once just wandering into the Alray Dairy, heading for the chiller and helping himself to dogroll then happily trotting off home.

That saga made the national and international news. They say every dog has its day.

His owner Sharron Sutherland says Oscar, or Oskie to close friends was a top Deer hunting dog in his day. That’s until he came to town and caught the dog roll bug.

Sharron says she and partner Graeme are devastated at Oscar’s passing.
