Following up our recent story on new building projects around the city we decided to have a wander around the inner city to see for ourselves what was going on.
Several people pointed out a couple of new shops in town.

One was the new fudge shop, notioNZ on the Dee – Don St corner. The operators of this gem look to be onto a winner judging by the impressive window display.
We’ll make it our mission to sample some of their fudge and report back.

Just up Dee St a shop that caters for those that want new cushions. That’s Lily and Cedric Designer Cushions. The shop and its stock look very smart.

And barely a hope skip and jump from Lily and Cedric’s is the site if the new Burger Fuel outlet on the Dee – Spey St corner. Clearly a bit of work to be done here but our tummys are rumbling with excitement.
We are told that management and staff of the new Burger Fuel spend 8 weeks of intensive training at outlets in Auckland before they open up here.
And lets not forget the new Centre St Superette. We hear that it is a welcome asset to that popular part of town.
Back in Tay street

Not so much a new addition but judging by the sign D T Carter’s have moved in under the H&J Smith umbrella.

Finally after all this positivety we are wondering what is going to fill up this blank space in Esk St. Being a prime site we thought it would’ve been snapped up by now.
