Southland teams brought home great results from the Marching New Zealand South Island Championships last weekend.
Five competitive marching teams travelled to Nelson to compete in the championship marches – Blue Jay, Hokonui, Southern Stars U12 as well as Blue Jay and Hokonui u16 teams.
Hokonui u16 brought home 1st technical team, 2nd display and 1st equal champion team.
Hokonui U12 brought home 3rd Technical team, 2nd Display and 3rd champion team, with Southern Stars close behind picking up 4th technical and 4th display making them 4th over all.
All teams were working hard to reach their goals and with nationals 100 days away there’s no stopping these marchers!
Hokonui u16 are training for nationals and have been invited to perform at the first Australia and New Zealand drill dance and marching tattoo in July 2023.
