Mal’s Music Memory – The Monkees RIP Peter Tork

Hiya team

Sad news to report. Bass and keyboard player for The Monkees, Peter Tork has left us.
Peter was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer some years ago but got over that but he had not been in good health in recent times.

He was unable to get on the current tour with band mates Mike Nesmith and Mickey Dolenz. That tour comes to NZ later in the year.

Many wrote off the music of made for TV band but music of The Monkees certainly stands the test of time like Daydream Believer.

RIP Peter Tork
