Sad news today with the passing of  Jerry Lee Lewis.

Jerry Lee passed away aged 87 due to natural causes.

Nicknamed “the Killer“, he was described as “Rock and roll‘s first great wild man and one of the most influential pianists of the 20th century. From Wikipedia

His life was far from black and white, straight and narrow, that’s all well documented. His piano playing and showmanship inspired many that followed.

Also well documented was his transition from rock n roll to country and western. This helped sustain his career over 7 decades, 7 decades!

Will any of todays stars last anywhere close to 7 decades?

Anyways, here’s a clip of Jerry Lee with two other legends, Keith Richards and Mick Fleetwood on a TV special back in the 80’s showing us all just how it’s done.

Here they are doing Hank Williams Your Cheatin’ Heart and Chuck Berry’s Little Queenie.   Rock On Jerry Lee Lewis
