An Invercargill MyLotto ticket is among the winners from Wednesday night's Lotto draw, with the holder in line for $14,093 after matching Second Division.
Draw 2617, held Wednesday September 2, produced three First Division winners of $333,333 each. Those tickets were sold at Fresh Choice Te Awamutu, and through MyLotto in Rotorua and Wellington. No Invercargill connection there.
The Invercargill win sits in Second Division, where 23 tickets nationally shared the prize pool. The local ticket was purchased through MyLotto — the online platform — so the winner may not yet know they've won. Lotto NZ is urging anyone who bought a ticket from a winning store to check as soon as possible, either in-store, on the MyLotto website, or through the app.
Four of the 23 Second Division winners also held Powerball Second Division, lifting their total to $19,630. The Invercargill ticket was not among those.
Powerball itself was not struck. It rolls to $28 million on Saturday. Strike Four also goes unclaimed, resetting to $400,000 for the next draw.
