If you’ve ever thought about starting your own business or have a great idea but are not sure where to start, then COIN South has the answer for you. Applications are open this week for the brand-new COIN South Start It course.

It’s free and open to anyone with a great idea who wants to turn it into a reality.

The content has been created by COIN South Chief Activator Lou Evans who has met with over 100 founders since COIN opened its doors in August 2019. “Many of the founders that have come through our doors since we opened last year have been asking the same questions and looking for the same answers. We want to provide a free online tool that enables absolutely anyone to work on their next big idea in their own time, and in their own space”.

The first cohort starts on Monday 29 June and initial feedback has indicated that COIN expects a good number of new and existing COIN founders to join up. ‘’We hope that Start It will encourage people who have been sitting on an idea or have had a change of direction since COVID to sign up and validate their idea”.

The course features 12 lessons in total; including instructional videos, tools and practical lessons. Course content includes finding your customer, validating your idea, getting to market, finding your break even and making money. Guest speakers will be included covering specialist topics such as finance and legal matters.

The course also includes regular meetups with course participants.

“We know founders are keen to meet others in the community. The course is a great opportunity to connect with other like-minded people in the South”.
