A Pak'nSave Invercargill ticket is worth $35,600 after Saturday night's Lotto draw — the second winning ticket sold in the city in less than a week.

The Second Division win on Saturday October 3 follows Four Square Otatara selling one of two First Division tickets in Wednesday night's draw, netting a local player $500,000.

Eight players nationally shared Saturday's Second Division prize of $35,600 each. Invercargill's Pak'nSave was the only South Island store to sell a winner in that tier. The other tickets came from Wellsford, Auckland (three via MyLotto), Wairoa, Porirua, and Christchurch.

The big money from Saturday's draw went north. One player took home $15.3 million in Powerball First Division — a MyLotto ticket sold to an Auckland player. That prize is made up of $15 million from Powerball and $333,333 from Lotto First Division. Two other Lotto First Division tickets, each worth $333,333, were also sold online: one to an Auckland player, one to a player in Christchurch.

Strike Four produced a $200,000 winner, sold at Woolworths Rangiora East.

Back to Wednesday's draw, which had more drama. The other $500,000 First Division ticket alongside Otatara's winner was sold online through MyLotto to a player in Marlborough — two winners, same prize, different ends of the country. Wednesday also produced a Strike Four winner of $700,000, sold via MyLotto to a Hamilton player.

Anyone who bought a ticket from any of the winning stores should check it as soon as possible in-store, on MyLotto, or through the MyLotto app.

Saturday's draw was also the first day of Lotto New Zealand's Power into Summer promotion. All Triple Dip tickets bought between Sunday October 4 and 7.30pm Saturday October 17 are in the draw for an extra 100 prizes of $20,000 each.

Saturday's Powerball win was the 18th of 2026. The year's biggest single prize remains a $28.6 million win in June, sold at Four Square Netherby in Ashburton.
