
Police are asking for the public’s help following an aggravated robbery at the On the Spot Collingwood Foodcentre on North Road in Invercargill.
The incident occurred around 3.30am this morning (Monday 24 March) when four individuals entered the store. Two were armed with knives, while another carried a tyre iron. The offenders targeted cigarettes and tobacco before leaving the scene in a vehicle.

Thankfully, the two store employees are uninjured; however, they are understandably shaken by the incident.
"Invercargill Police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the aggravated robbery or may have information that could assist in our investigation," a Police spokesperson said.
Police are particularly interested in any CCTV or dashcam footage recorded in the North Road area between midnight and 5am.
