Long time local lighting company Hishon Lighting are closing their retail store to focus on the commercial side of the business and to make more room for Southland Real Estate bringing their rentals department into the same building.
The business started life as Hishon Brothers – the Shop With The Lights.
Company director John Hishon said one of the tenants, Southland Real Estate want to lease more space in the Dee St building. John Hishon says with Southland Real Estate moving their rental department, everyone will be working under the same roof.
John says the retail says while the shop will be going, the Hishon name will not be disappearing from the electrical trade side of the business.
He says personally its also a good time to do other things.
The closing down sale has started and will run until Christmas.
Renovations to accommodate Southland Real Estate Rentals moving in will start in the new year.
