Go Bus Southland Wide Senior Rugby Week Six Wrap

The race to the finals is on!

The big question in the Premier Grade is now who will be playing Woodlands in the Galbraith Shield Final?

This years reduced season means there are no playoffs, if a team wants a spot in the final they must finish top two.

After the weekend Woodlands sit on 35 points, Marist 24 points, Pirates Old Boys 23 points and Star 22 points.

The next two rounds: Marist v Blues and Woodlands, Pirates Old Boys v ENC Babas and Star, Star v Woodlands and Pirates Old Boys.

This coming weekend sees Marist take on Blues at Blues, Pirates Old Boys take on ENC Babas at Surrey Park and Star take on Woodlands at Star. Wins are crucial with two rounds to go before the final.

In Division One only 11 points seperate Midlands in 1st and Riversdale and Wyndham in 4th/5th.

The Gerald Dermody Shield is even closer, with 5 points seperating top of table Pioneer (24 points) and Tokanui, Mossburn and Waikiwi who are all on 19 points.

In Division Two Bluff sit top of table on 28 points, Waiau Star 22 points and DLS 21 points.

Collegaite sit top of the Life Members trophy table unbeaten on 29 points, with Woodlands in second on 20 points and Marist third on 16 points.

In the Presidents Cup Waikaia sit top of the table on 25 points, followed by Wyndham on 23 points and Blues on 17 points

Tokanui top the Presidents Trophy grade with 20 points followed by Pukerau on 17 point, Star on 14 points and Waikiwi on 11 points.

Blues and Marist sit top of the table in the womens grade on 20 points and 15 points respectively.
