ALLISON, Jean:
Peacefully on January 3, 2026, at Taieri Court Rest Home, Mosgiel; in her 96th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Noel, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Alistair, Chris and Ross Mitchell, Pauline, Robyn and David Mathieson, loved grandmother of Hayden and Rowan, and Logan; Jenna and Jeremy, Kayla and Darren; Dylan and Olivia, Scott and Jacky, Rhys and Lucy; loved Grandma Jean of her 9 great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Jean's life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 1.30pm, in the Tokomairiro Co-operating Parish, 34 Union Street, Milton, the funeral then leaving for Fairfax Cemetery. BEADLE, Jillian:
Peacefully, with family, at Lakes District Hospital, Queenstown, on Friday, January 2, 2026, aged 87. Deeply loved wife of Peter* for 61 years, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Deborah, and Simon and Hayley. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Jocelyn* and Cliff* Broad, Judy and Graeme* Peters, Gretta and Owen Thomas, Owen* and Caroline* Beadle, Bruce* and Anne Beadle, Jean* and Nicol* Thomson, Beryl* and Harold* Holmes; and much loved aunt of her nieces and nephews. Loved step-grandmother and great-grandmother of Terrianne, Amit, Rohan and Krish; Heidi, Ros, Maisie and Adrian. Jill has come to the end of a wonderful life, enriched by music, art and family. Her legacy lives on through her family and the beautiful music she composed. Jill's family give heartfelt thanks to the Lakes District Hospital medical and nursing teams and to Hospice Southland for their exceptional care of Jill and support for her family. COPE, Lyall William:
Passed away peacefully on Saturday 3 January at Invercargill, aged 89 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Frances, surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Father and Father-in-law of Robert and Julie, Shirley and Grant, Terry and Heather, Heather, Ian and the late Lynette, Rachel and Garry. Much loved Grandfather to eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A celebration of Lyall’s life will be held in Southland Crematorium Chapel, 111 Rockdale Road, on Friday, 9 January at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations to either “St John Ambulance” or “Southland Hospice” would be appreciated and can be made at the service.
