On Sunday 1st February 2026, peacefully surrounded by his family at Southland Hospital, aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband and soulmate of Joyce for 62 years. Much loved father and father in law of Faye and Royden Brown, Barbara and Paul Lester, Pauline Chapman and Maree and Paul Burke. Treasured grandad of James and Lana, Kylie and Richard, Andrew and Kara Brown, Mackenzie and Sarah, Alexander and Hannah, Ceara and Ben Ryan; Ryan and Ashley Lester, Erin and Feyre, Jonathan, Harrison, Georgina and Joe; Cerese and Tamantha and Taylor and Hadlee. A very special great grandad to his 16 adored great grandchildren, Mikaela, Pyper, Millie, Sophie, Ella; Bentley, Lincoln, McKinley; Elsie, William; Arabella, Fergus, Harriet; Oliver, Eli and Indie. Loved brother and brother in law of Fred* and Reene* Wall, Bill* and Isobel* Agnew and Allan and Vanessa Scobie. Special thanks to the incredible staff at both Bupa Ascot and Southland Hospital, for the care, love and respect they have shown. A service to celebrate Neville’s life will be held at Windsor Community Church, 19 Windsor Street, Invercargill at 1.30pm on Thursday 5th February 2026 with a private cremation to follow. Died on January 22, 2026, in Perth Australia. Dearly loved wife of Quentin, loved Mum to Hadden, Cerara and their families. Beloved daughter of Islay and Margarita Matheson. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Margaret and Bill Falloon, Pauline* and Eric* Brock, Vivienne*, John* and Ainslee, Jim and Christine, Neil and Cathy*, and Colin*. LITTLE, Bruce:
Born Invercargill, October 11, 1944, died Shepparton, Australia, January 18, 2026. Loved son of William and Annie Little. Loved brother of Winnie*, Sinclair*, Neil, Trixie, Robert, Jennifer, Patricia, and Murray. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Worked in Southland at the deep cove tunnel, as a fencer, truck driver, then moved to Australia and worked as a bailiff in Shepparton. Married to Barbara. But his heart never left Southland, he is sadly missed.

JONES, Stanley James:
Stan passed away unexpectedly at his home in Riverton on Saturday January 31, 2026. Aged 89 years. Loved husband of the late Beverley Jones and special companion of Mary Butterfield. Dearly loved father of the late Christopher and the late David, Richard, Stan and father-in-law of Bridgitte. Loved Chopper of Annabelle and Alice, Jonny, William and Charlotte. A service will be held in J Fraser and Sons Chapel, cnr. Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill, at 1.30pm, on Wednesday February 4 to celebrate Stan’s life. A private cremation to follow. TIPPETT, Brian David:
Passed away peacefully at Southland Hospital on Sunday 1 February 2026 with his family by his side. Aged 83 years. Dearly loved husband of Dale and loved father and father-in-law of Tony, Lynn and Leslie Baxter (Gore), Paula and Nic Parkin (Wainuiomata). Dearly loved Grandad of Sarah and Shane, Jessica and Andrew, Ashley and Sam, and Blake and Dana. Adored Grandad Brian of Archie, and Luca; Ted, and Walker; and Sadie. A dearly loved brother of Graham*, Merv*, Bob*, and Bev and George (Gold Coast). A loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill on Wednesday 4 th February at 2:00pm, followed by a private cremation.
