Passed away peacefully, at Windsor Park Care Home, Gore, on Saturday, June 20, 2026 aged 89 years. Dearly loved wife of *Tom, much loved mother and mother-in-law of *Steve, Ross and Pauline (Dunedin), Sharon and Paul Waller (Lumsden), and treasured Gran of Kate; Michael and Steph, and Nicholas; Blair, and Laura. Loved Great-Gran of Ollie, Isla, Sophie, and Charlotte. The last of 11 children, a cherished sister, sister-in-law and aunt. A private service has been held as per Gail's wishes. Dearly loved wife of the late Neil, treasured mother of Katie Bathgate, and Stuart, loved sister of Kathryn, David, and Alistair, cherished Grandma of Eli, and Zoe. A service to celebrate Liz’s life, will be held in Central Otago Funerals Chapel, 16 Ennis Street, Alexandra, on Friday, 27 June, at 1.00 pm. Dearly loved wife of the late John, loved mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother of Suzanne and Chris, David, Michael, and Krista Loach (Christchurch); Alex and Jane, Dean, Julie, *Vanessa, and Glen; Robert and Phillipa, Tim, Sarah, Georgia and John; Malcolm, *Jim and Jeanie; John and Kate, Millie, Guy, and Jonty. Great Grandma of Lance, Peyton, Harrison, Mahia, Nyxyn, Mackenzie, Sophie, Alexia, *Hudson, Henry, Kate, Dominic, Lucas, and Delilah. Loved daughter of *Percy and *Grace McGrouther, adored big sister and sister in-law of Shirley and *Doug Stott, *Cliff and Jean, Joy and *Peter Roulston, *Howard and Elizabeth, and *Jim and Sandra.
