BEST, Ivan John (also known as John, JB or Bestie):
06-08-1952 to 14-02-2026. Passed away peacefully at Hawthorndale Care Village. Beloved husband of Maree for 54 years. Father and father-in-law of Terry & Trish (Invercargill), and Craig (Melbourne). Loved Grandad Best of Hannah and Claire (Invercargill) and Alex (Melbourne). Loved brother and brother-in-law, and uncle to all his nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the staff and management at Hawthorndale Care Village who looked after John in his final hours. Their kindness and attention was very much appreciated by John’s Family. In accordance with John’s wishes a private cremation will be held on Wednesday 18th February 2026. We invite friends and family to join us at the Southland Tavern at 2pm. FLYNN, Judith:
At home, peacefully, surrounded by love on Sunday, February 15, 2026, aged 85 years. Much loved and adored wife of John for 64 years, cherished mother and mother-in-law of her fur baby Duncan, John and Lorena, Stephen and Rachel, Scott and Brenda, Angela and Clark McNaughton and Katrina Flynn, gentle, funny, caring and beloved Nana of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thanks from the family to all the wonderful people who helped us during this difficult time, especially Health Central and the amazing District nurses.

A memorial service to celebrate Judith's life will be held on Saturday, February 21, at The Packing Shed Café, 68 Bolton Road, Earnscleugh, Alexandra, at 12.00pm. Suddenly on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after a brief illness. Passed peacefully in her 93rd year surrounded by the love of her whanau at Waipapa Christchurch Hospital. Mokomoko of Ratimira and Susan Te Au (nee Ballantyne); mokopuna of Alex and Pani McKay (nee Rehu); daughter of Mannie Belsham and Flo Reiri (née McKay). Devoted mother of Moana, Alex and Joe; doting Nana of 16 mokopuna; 38 mokomokopuna and 3 mokomokomokopuna. Tuesday 17: Pam will leave from Wesley Chapel in Papanui and be taken to lie at Uenuku Marae in Moeraki. Wednesday 18: Pam will be taken Te Takutai o Te Titi Marae at Oraka /Colac Bay. Thursday 19: Service at Te Takutai at 11.00am, burial at Orepuki Cemetery at 1.00pm, return to marae for kai at 3.00pm. Manaakitanga Funeral Services.

Passed away peacefully at Strathallan Life Care, Timaru, on Saturday, February 14, 2026; aged 77 years. Loved husband of Margaret, and father of Aaron, Sarah, Lisa, Michael, Ronis, Charles (dec), and Dominic. Cherished grandad and great-grandad to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of George will be held in the Calvin Community Presbyterian Church, 25 Robertson Street, Gore on Friday, February 20, at 1.30pm followed by the interment at Waikaka Cemetery.
