BRINSDON, Noel Richard:
Passed away peacefully on Saturday 10 January 2026 at Rowena Jackson Retirement Village, Invercargill two months shy of his 94th birthday. Loved husband of the late Nancy, and Noelene. Much loved father and father-in-law of Ian and Faye, Kay, Jill and Edu, and Sue. Treasured Grandad of Amber, Luke*, Josh, Zach, Levi, Cody, Jasmin, and Lily, and great-grandad of Wallace, Francie, Afra, and Ophira. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Dorothy and Ivan* Dawson, Ken* and Pat, a loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews and a respected friend and member of the Wood Workers Guild. A memorial celebration of Noel’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Friday 16 January at 10.00am. Messages to P.O. Box 34 Riverton.
DAWSON, Peter James (Pita):
Passed away after a short illness at Rose Lodge Care Home on January 5, 2026. Much-loved husband of Sandy and the late Ngaere. Cherished brother of Elizabeth, Marie, Doug, and Paul (Lewis* and Lorraine*). Proudly fathered sons: Karl and Steven Loved father figure to Mike, Debbie, Rhonda, Shane, Shawn*, Donna, Katrina, and Stacy*. Respected father-in-law to Peter, Lindsay, Lynette, Maree, Aaron, and Lauren. Adored Poua to Grandchildren: Wendy and Tina; Ellen, Anna, and Todd; Zoe, Sam, and Jesse; Holly and Jack; Anton; Raejhan*, Shakhan, Rzaiah; Bree, Quin & Jorja; Deegan and Medina; and Great Grandchild: Nevaeh. Special Uncle to Kerei and Rana; Bex and Nigel; and other nieces and nephews. Acknowledged as whanau, his closest friend Phil and Helen "sister"; Poua by love to Rochelle, Catherine, Bronwyn, Ngaire and their families. And great cuzzy bro, in-law, and friend to many. As per Pita’s wishes, a private cremation has been held. A memorial service will be held at a later date, to be advised. Suddenly in the early new year in the comfort of her own home. A loved mum and mother-in-law of Pauline and Brent. A loved mum of Heather and Graham. A much loved Grandma of Caitlin.
