FRASER, James Duncan (Jim):
Passed away at home with his family by his side on Saturday the 9th May 2026. Aged 77 Years. Devoted and loving husband of Jude. Treasured father, father-in law and friend of Bruce and Arlene, Donna and Shane Leighton. Adored Pop of Jayden and Isla. Loved son of Duncan* and Mary* Loved brother of Margaret* and Alan*, Craig and Anne Hanning Loved and respected Son-in-law of Colin* and Bev* Ashby. Loved and respected brother-in-law and friend of Neil Ashby, Colin Ashby and Shelly, Paul (Porky) Ashby and Rachael, Trish and John O'Sullivan, and Chris and Wendy Ashby. Respected Uncle and friend to many. A service to celebrate and honour Jim’s life will be held at J Fraser and Sons, cnr Esk & Doon Street’s, Invercargill on Thursday 14th May at 1.30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Otago Southland Rescue Helicopter Trust can be made at the service. THOMPSON, Victor Donald:
28.6.1950 – 10.5.20269 - (Vic of Mossburn Enterprises)
With great sadness we share the peaceful passing of Victor, surrounded by his loving family. Much loved husband of Linda. Cherished father and father-in-law of Mark and Kim, Anna and Cary, the late Ryan, Scott and Stacey, James and Melissa, and Lucy and JR. Adored Grandad of Chloe and Mya; Katie, Tyler and Alex; Indie; Sophie; Jerome, Allie and Tai. Loved son and son-in-law of Jim* and Agnes* Thompson, and Ted* and Colleen Scott. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Margaret* and Colin*, Bill*, Bruce*, Alan and Karyn, Heather, Peter and David. Much loved uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Together again with our beloved Ryan. Both forever missed by us all. A service of celebration of Victor’s life will be held at the Ascot Park Hotel on Thursday, 14 May, commencing at 2.00pm. TRAINOR, Rodney Richard:
Passed away peacefully after a short illness. Born at sunrise on 17th November 1960, Rodney’s final chapter came to a close at sunset on 11th May 2026 husband of Linda Trainor. Te pāpā arohaina of Morella and Troy, the late Taylor, and Caleb. Cherished son of the late Lauris and Margaret Trainor. Dear brother of Alison and Gareth McVicar, Kaylene and John Erskine, and Cherry Trainor. Loved son-in-law of Jim and Elizabeth Patterson, and the late Beverly Patterson. Brother-in-law of Roger and Jackie, David and Gaylene, and Colin and Susanne. A private cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Rodney will be held at a later date.
THWAITES, Agnes:
Agnes passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, aged 96 years. Dearly beloved and loving wife of Evan Templeton Thwaites*. Amazing and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Alison and John Jephson, Marion and Stuart Elder, Neil and Eualie, Ewen and Marion, and Evan and Karen. Loved Gran of her 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Hector*, Ian* and Jennifer*, Sandy* and Tricia, Melvin* and Joyce*, Winnie and George* and Ian*, and Russell* and Wisha. Also a loved aunt and great-aunt. The family especially thank the wonderful team at Peacehaven for their loving care of Agnes. A service to celebrate Agnes' life will be held in the Wyndham Presbyterian Church, Wyndham, at 1.00pm on Monday, May 18.
