Muriel passed peacefully on Tuesday 7th July 2026 in Invercargill, aged 98 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Les Brown. Dearly loved Mum of Lois, Carolyn, Shona and the late Lynda. A service to celebrate the life of Muriel will be held in J Fraser and Son’s Chapel, Cnr Esk and Doon Streets, Invercargill on Friday 17th July 2026 at 12.30pm, followed by her burial at the Otautau Cemetery. In the care of Cargill Rest Home, Invercargill on Thursday 25 June 2026; aged 93 years. Dearly loved Wife of the late Ean Young, and Ian Paterson. Much loved Mother of Chris, Alan, and Catherine. Loved Nana of Robert, Shane, and Ean; Jaimee, Flynn, and Ruby. Loved Great Nana of Claire, Alex, Breanna, Hunter, Ava, and Tahlia. A memorial service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Lounge, 75 Fox Street Invercargill on Friday 24 July at 11.00am. Special thanks to the staff at Cargill Rest Home for the love and the care shown to Joyce over the past years.
