Dearly loved wife of the late Gordon, much loved mother of Paula & Mark Lipman, David & Sara Jack. Dearly loved Gran of Caleb, & Noah Lipman, Grace, Toby, & Eden Jack. Mary was the last of nine beloved Shepherd siblings and with her passing a generation comes to its close. Loved sister-in-law of Gordon's brothers and wives. Mary passed peacefully in her sleep with family by her side. Thank you to the wonderful staff of Rowena Jackson for their care of Mary over the past nine years. A service to celebrate Mary's life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel on Friday 28th August at 1.00pm.

Peacefully, at Lakes District Hospital Frankton, on Friday, August 21, 2026, aged 81 years. Dearly loved wife of Frank*, loved mother and mother-in-law of John and Lisa (Five Rivers), and Chris and Katrina, (Arrowtown). Cherished Nan of Rachel and Cody and Henry; Katelin; Bailey and Matthew. Loved daughter of Jock* and Alma* Beaton, cherished sister of Rodger and Sue, Fay and Kevin. Adored by all her nieces and nephews. A service for Merle will be held in the Kingston Golf Club, 32 Gloucester Street, on Friday, August 28 at 1.00 pm, followed by light refreshments, thereafter burial at Kingston Cemetery, 3818 Kingston Road. Donations can be made for St John Frankton. Special thank you to the nurses and Doctor Callum Stevenson for their care and compassion shown to Merle. Passed away in the tender care of Gore Hospital staff, on Saturday
August 22, 2026, with his loving family by his side, aged 86 years.
Dearly loved husband and best friend of Edith* for over 60 years,
much loved dad of Andrew and Fiona (Oamaru), Ken (Auckland), Jo
and Terry (Lake Hawea), much loved Grandad of Callum, Lachlan,
and Isabel, Larissa and Daniel, Regan and Meg, treasured Great
Grandad of Isla, and Maddi. Dearly loved and special brother and
brother-in-law of Duncan* MacGregor, Jim and Margaret Lamb and families all
the Murray’s and extended families, dearly loved son of Jo* and Jock*

A private family service for John will be held at Charlton Park
Cemetery. A celebration of John’s life will be held at the
Hokonui Bowling Club on Saturday August 29, 2026, at 2.00
pm. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully received

In his 74th year. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, 25th August 2026. Beloved son of the late Charles and Edith Smith, brother and great mate of Hilary and John Hornbrook, Oliver and Georgia, Elliot and Cooper; Judy and Bill McKenzie, Rowan, Georgie and Angus, Rory and Leticia.
